Version updated on July 5, 2026. This policy explains how Obscura Flow handles data related to the website, contact requests, and the native macOS application.
Local-first principle
Obscura Flow is designed to work locally. Libraries, projects, catalogs, archives, originals, previews, metadata, and sidecars remain in locations chosen by the user.
No account is required to create, open, catalog, document, or archive a local library.
Data you submit
When you use the contact form or write to support, we may process the information needed to answer: name, email, organization, request type, app version, platform, message, and attachments if provided.
Application data
In local use, working data remains under your control. If you enable sync or off-site backup, only the data required for the selected feature is sent to the configured destination.
On-device analysis
AI analysis, when enabled, runs on your Mac through local technologies such as Apple Vision. Images are not sent to an external AI service.
Purposes
Website and support data are processed to answer requests, organize demos, provide support, manage licensing, secure services, and comply with legal obligations.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses no advertising trackers and sells no data. No analytics script loads until you explicitly accept it through the consent banner: while you have not answered, or if you decline, no request is sent to any measurement tool and no analytics cookie is set.
If you accept, two tools load: Google Analytics 4, to understand which pages are read and through which paths, and Microsoft Clarity, to observe navigation difficulties in aggregate. Google Analytics is configured without advertising signals, without ad personalization, and with IP anonymization. Page performance measurements (Core Web Vitals) are sent in the same context.
Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the key obscura:analytics-consent. To change it, clear this site's data in your browser: the banner will reappear on your next visit.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, rectification, deletion, limitation, portability, objection, or withdrawal of consent.
