Archive Center

Preserve your images with readable evidence.

A professional archive must be verifiable, explainable, and restorable. Obscura Flow structures that confidence without unnecessary jargon.

Trust

Knowing an archive exists is not enough.

You need to know whether it is complete, which version it represents, when it was validated, which copies exist, and how to return to a healthy state.

Safeguards

Eight safeguards for verifiable preservation.

From signed compression to controlled restore, each mechanism documents the real state of your archives.

Compression

Multithreaded zstd packages, or gzip / tar / zip, for compact archives that are fast to produce.

SHA-256 manifest

Each file in the package is inventoried with its SHA-256 fingerprint in a readable manifest.

Ed25519 signature

An Ed25519 signature seals the manifest and proves the archive has not been altered.

AES-256 encryption

Optional AES-256-GCM encryption; the key remains in the keychain of the Mac that created the archive.

Fixity audits

Scheduled checks, weekly, monthly, or on demand, with verification history.

Format validation

Binary-signature detection for renamed, truncated, corrupted, or obsolescence-risk files.

Versions & revisions

Re-archive as a new revision, overwrite, or use incremental mode depending on preservation needs.

Verified restore

Controlled extraction after signature verification, with conflict handling and overwrite safeguards.

Decision

Build an archive that stays understandable.
