Obscura Flow is a local-first macOS application for organizing, documenting, archiving, and restoring photographic bodies of work.
Core areas
- Libraries hold projects, collections, metadata, archives, settings, and logs.
- Projects group images around a body of work, assignment, series, or delivery.
- Collections organize selections manually or through rules.
- Archive Center creates signed, verifiable packages.
- Integrity and Restore Centers verify and recover archives.
Daily method
Start by importing or referencing files, then enrich context through metadata, tags, notes, and relationships. When a body of work becomes stable, create an archive and validate it.
Local-first principle
The application works offline. Cloud and off-site features are optional and only used when you configure them.
